The acquisition expands Lynx's portfolio into national telecommunications and electrical network services, leveraging MNM's design & build and manufacturing capabilities across the U.S. and Canada.

International Wire Group Acquires EMS Elektro Metall Schwanenmühle

International Wire Group (IWG), an Olympus Partners portfolio company, has acquired EMS Elektro Metall Schwanenmühle GmbH (EMS), a German manufacturer of customized high-current busbars with operations in Poland. The acquisition expands IWG’s European footprint and product capabilities across electrical infrastructure, data centers, battery storage, electric vehicles and renewables and complements IWG’s recent platform build-out including Hussey Copper.

Curtiss-Wright Acquires WSC, Inc.

Curtiss-Wright Corporation completed the acquisition of WSC, Inc. for approximately $34 million in cash. WSC, a Frederick, Maryland–based provider of nuclear and process plant simulation and digital twin technology with roughly $15 million of 2023 revenue and about 45 employees, will operate within Curtiss-Wright's Naval & Power segment to expand its advanced simulation and digital capabilities for commercial nuclear, process and defense end markets.

NewMarket Corporation Acquires AMPAC Intermediate Holdings (American Pacific) for $700M

NewMarket Corporation (NYSE: NEU) completed the acquisition of AMPAC Intermediate Holdings, LLC, the parent of American Pacific Corporation (AMPAC), for approximately $700 million in cash. AMPAC, based in Cedar City, Utah, is a specialty manufacturer of critical performance additives for solid rocket motors and Halotron fire‑suppression agents and has roughly 150 employees; the seller was affiliates of private equity firm AE Industrial Partners.

Sims Metal Acquires Northeast Metal Traders

Sims Metal, a division of Sims Limited, will acquire the commercial and operating assets of Pennsylvania-based Northeast Metal Traders (NEMT) in a bolt-on deal expected to close in mid-April 2023. The acquisition expands Sims Metal North America’s non-ferrous/copper recycling footprint in Philadelphia, adding approximately 60,000 tons per year of processed non‑ferrous metal and expected commercial and operating synergies.

Ltd., the largest Canadian manufacturer of distribution transformers and the largest North American producer of amorphous metal transformers. The combination creates one of the largest North American producers of distribution transformers with roughly 1,000 employees and eight manufacturing facilities across the U.S. and Canada, expanding capacity to serve utilities amid grid hardening and electrification tailwinds.
