Thoma Bravo, a leading software-focused private equity firm, has completed the acquisition of NextGen Healthcare, Inc. for $1.8 billion, taking the company private at $23.95 per share. The transaction (previously announced Sept. 6, 2023) will delist NextGen from Nasdaq and aims to accelerate product innovation and growth across NextGen's cloud-based ambulatory healthcare technology offerings.

TPG to Acquire Nextech from Thomas H. Lee Partners

TPG (through its TPG Capital platform) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Nextech, a provider of clinical and administrative healthcare technology and EMR software for specialty physician practices, from Thomas H. Lee Partners for $1.4 billion. The deal, expected to close in Q3 2023 subject to regulatory review, will allow TPG to expand its healthcare IT / SaaS portfolio and grow Nextech's platform and capabilities.

Nextech Acquires SRS Health

Varian Medical Systems to Acquire Cancer Treatment Services International from TPG Growth

Varian Medical Systems has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Cancer Treatment Services International (CTSI) from TPG Growth / Asia Healthcare Holdings for $283 million. CTSI operates a network of oncology hospitals, diagnostic and treatment services across India and South Asia (including the American Oncology Institute and AmPath), employs more than 1,500 people, and the deal is expected to close in roughly two weeks subject to customary conditions.
