Legacy Food Group, a Richmond-based holding company for regional foodservice distributors, has acquired Best Mexican Foods, a family-owned specialty Hispanic food distributor based in Chester, New York. The acquisition expands LFG's footprint in the Northeast Hispanic foodservice market and adds complementary product selection and supplier relationships to its operating divisions.

GS Foods Group Acquires Hayes Distributing

GS Foods Group, a family of specialized foodservice distributors owned by affiliates of Highview Capital and A&M Capital Partners, has acquired Hayes Distributing to strengthen its presence in Northern California. HF Foods Group Acquires Sealand Food, Inc.

HF Foods Group Inc. has entered into an agreement to acquire substantially all assets of Sealand Food, Inc., a Richmond, Virginia–based frozen seafood supplier that serves Asian/Chinese restaurants across the U.S. East Coast. The acquisition expands HF Foods' distribution footprint into states where it previously had limited presence, bringing the combined network to serve roughly 15,000 restaurants and supporting HF Foods' goal of national scale and revenue growth.

Farragut Capital Partners provided senior subordinated debt and equity alongside NewSpring Capital and Salem Investment Partners to support the acquisition, with Atlantic Union Bank providing senior debt financing.

The acquisition brings FRS’s local sales, showroom and distribution capabilities into IFG’s national foodservice distribution platform, and was led for the sellers by Viking Mergers & Acquisitions.
