Hillcore Group Acquires Porter Warehousing & Distribution

Hillcore Group has completed the acquisition of Porter Warehousing & Distribution, a Western Canadian 3PL operator based in Edmonton, Alberta. The acquisition expands Hillcore's logistics and industrial capabilities by adding Porter’s warehousing, pick-and-pack fulfillment and WMS-enabled services to its portfolio.

Hillcore Group has completed the acquisition of Active Warehousing Inc., a Edmonton-headquartered third-party logistics and transloading provider specializing in forestry and energy sectors. The deal expands Hillcore’s logistics platform footprint and adds rail-siding transload capabilities and warehousing capacity in the Edmonton market.

The deal expands Hillcore's industrial and utility services capabilities and strengthens its regional presence across Alberta and Western/ Northern Canada.

Lineage Logistics Acquires MTC Logistics

Lineage Logistics acquired MTC Logistics, a cold-chain provider operating four refrigerated facilities near key U.S. East and Gulf Coast ports (Baltimore, Wilmington, Philadelphia and Mobile). The deal adds nearly 38 million cubic feet of capacity and over 113,000 pallet positions to Lineage's global temperature-controlled network; financial terms were not disclosed. MTC was a wholly owned subsidiary of Hoffberger Holdings, Inc.

Blue Wolf Capital and Stonepeak Acquire LOGISTEC Corporation

Blue Wolf Capital Partners, in partnership with Stonepeak, has completed the acquisition of Montreal-based LOGISTEC Corporation for approximately C$1.2 billion, taking the company private. Blue Wolf has committed to keep LOGISTEC's head office in Québec and plans more than C$200 million in capital expenditures and growth initiatives to expand the marine terminal and environmental services business.

Hillcore Group Acquires Thompson Construction Group

Hillcore Group has completed the acquisition of Thompson Construction Group. Thompson, a Spruce Grove, Alberta–based heavy civil contractor with over 1,500 employees and a large equipment fleet, will partner with Hillcore and its senior management to expand service capacity, pursue capital expenditure and acquisition opportunities, and support geographic growth across Western Canada.
