Hillcore Group Acquires Porter Warehousing & Distribution

Hillcore Group has completed the acquisition of Porter Warehousing & Distribution, a Western Canadian 3PL operator based in Edmonton, Alberta. The acquisition expands Hillcore's logistics and industrial capabilities by adding Porter’s warehousing, pick-and-pack fulfillment and WMS-enabled services to its portfolio.

Hillcore Group Acquires MTE Logistix

Hillcore Group has completed the acquisition of MTE Logistix, one of Western Canada’s largest third-party logistics (3PL) providers. MTE operates more than 3.5 million sq. ft. of warehouse space across Edmonton and Calgary and serves 150+ clients across food & beverage, building materials, healthcare and industrial end markets; Hillcore said the deal is part of a plan to build a national logistics platform and expand MTE's footprint by ~1.5 million sq. ft.

Whitewater is a fluid management and environmental remediation services provider with five locations and over 200 employees; Hillcore is a Canadian investment firm that will operate the business within its portfolio.

Thompson, a Spruce Grove, Alberta–based heavy civil contractor with over 1,500 employees and a large equipment fleet, will partner with Hillcore and its senior management to expand service capacity, pursue capital expenditure and acquisition opportunities, and support geographic growth across Western Canada.

The Integration Group Acquires North American Warehousing Company

The Integration Group (TIG), a portfolio company of Maxwell Street Capital Partners, has acquired North American Warehousing Company (NAWC), a Chicago-area provider of specialized warehousing and hazardous materials handling, blending, and container filling. The add-on expands TIG's Midwest footprint and adds regulated, high-value logistics capabilities that complement prior acquisitions (PDM and Matrix Management).
