Honeycomb Battery Company completed a business combination with SPAC Nubia Brand International Corp., and the combined company was renamed Solidion Technology Inc., with common stock expected to trade on the NASDAQ Global Market under ticker STI. Solidion, headquartered in Dallas with production in Dayton, Ohio, will scale production of graphite anode materials and develop next‑generation solid‑state batteries using public capital.

Lion Electric completed a business combination with special purpose acquisition company Northern Genesis Acquisition Corp., resulting in approximately US$490 million of net proceeds (including a concurrent PIPE). As a result of the transaction Lion began trading on the NYSE and TSX under the ticker LEV; the proceeds will be used to finance U.S. manufacturing expansion, develop battery systems and repay outstanding debt. Lion's founder and CEO Marc Bédard will continue to lead the company, and Northern Genesis directors Ian Robertson and Chris Jarratt joined the board.

Bruker Corporation Acquires Nion

Bruker Corporation has acquired Nion, a Kirkland, Washington developer and manufacturer of high-end scanning transmission electron microscopes (STEM), including the UltraSTEM line and advanced EELS technology. The acquisition strengthens Bruker's materials science instrumentation portfolio and provides capabilities for electron diffraction crystallography; Nion reported approximately $8 million in revenue in 2023. Financial terms were not disclosed.
