Blue Water Energy Acquires Pipeline Technique Limited

London-based private equity firm Blue Water Energy has acquired Pipeline Technique Limited (PTL), a Huntly, Scotland-headquartered provider of pipeline welding, field joint coating and spoolbase services, from Heerema Marine Contractors. Blue Water said it will invest capital to support PTL’s future growth and independence as a specialist pipeline welding and coating services provider to the energy industry.

Pipeline Technique Acquires Global Project Services

Pipeline Technique, a Bluewater-backed onshore and offshore welding, coating and fabrication specialist, has acquired Global Project Services (GPS) from Global Energy Group. The acquisition gives Pipeline Technique immediate capabilities in infrastructure, nuclear, LNG, hook-up and decommissioning markets and expands its presence in the UK (Invergordon) and Norway (Bergen).

Energy Services of America Acquires WV Pipeline, Inc.

Energy Services of America Corporation formed a wholly owned subsidiary, West Virginia Pipeline Acquisition Company, and entered an asset purchase agreement to acquire substantially all assets of WV Pipeline, Inc. for $3.5 million cash plus a $3.0 million seller note; the transaction was expected to close December 31, 2020. The acquisition expands Energy Services' capabilities and geographic presence in gas and water distribution utility services in southern West Virginia, and WV Pipeline's leadership (David and Daniel Bolton) will remain with the business.

I Squared Capital Acquires Majority Interest in Whistler Pipeline

I Squared Capital, via its ISQ Global Infrastructure Fund III, has acquired a controlling majority interest in the Whistler Pipeline from a group including First Infrastructure Capital, Ridgemont Equity Partners, affiliates of West Texas Gas, affiliates of Stonepeak Partners and the WhiteWater management team. The Whistler Pipeline is a major natural gas transmission system linking the Permian Basin to Gulf Coast LNG facilities, Mexico and other Gulf Coast demand, with most capacity contracted under long-term, fixed-fee commitments.

Edison Chouest Offshore Acquires ROVOP from Bluewater

Edison Chouest Offshore has acquired Aberdeen-headquartered ROVOP from energy-focused private equity firm Bluewater. ROVOP, a leading provider of ROV subsea services that grew under Bluewater's ownership to £53 million in FY2023 revenue, will be integrated into Edison Chouest’s global marine and subsea capabilities.

FloWorks (Sunbelt Supply) Acquires Oliver Equipment Company

FloWorks International, an affiliate of Sunbelt Supply backed by Clearlake Capital Group, acquired Oliver Equipment Company (OEC), a Houston-based provider of specialty rotating equipment, onsite services and custom packaged systems. The add-on expands Sunbelt/FloWorks' flow solutions platform into rotating equipment and packaged systems; OEC's leadership will remain and terms were not disclosed.
