Blue Water Energy Acquires Pipeline Technique Limited

London-based private equity firm Blue Water Energy has acquired Pipeline Technique Limited (PTL), a Huntly, Scotland-headquartered provider of pipeline welding, field joint coating and spoolbase services, from Heerema Marine Contractors. Blue Water said it will invest capital to support PTL’s future growth and independence as a specialist pipeline welding and coating services provider to the energy industry.

TechnipFMC Acquires Magma Global

TechnipFMC has completed the acquisition of the outstanding shares of Magma Global, a developer and manufacturer of thermoplastic composite pipe (PEEK TCP) for subsea and energy-transition applications. The deal brings Magma's composite pipe technology into TechnipFMC's portfolio to accelerate deployments in traditional oil & gas, CCUS and hydrogen transport, and to commercialize hybrid flexible pipe solutions.

Pipeline Technique (PTL), a Bluewater‑backed energy infrastructure services group, has completed the acquisition of CRC‑Evans, Pipeline Induction Heat (PIH) and Stanley Inspection (including MicroAlloying) from Stanley Black & Decker. The deal creates a global leader in pipeline welding, coating and inspection with pro forma revenues in excess of $200 million and headcount rising from ~350 to over 1,000, expanding PTL's capabilities across oil & gas, renewables and carbon capture markets.

Infraneo (backed by Seven2) Acquires Technipipe

The add-on expands Infraneo's asset integrity capabilities in the Energy sector and strengthens its presence in the PACA region and across France and Europe.

Energy Services of America Acquires WV Pipeline, Inc.

Energy Services of America Corporation formed a wholly owned subsidiary, West Virginia Pipeline Acquisition Company, and entered an asset purchase agreement to acquire substantially all assets of WV Pipeline, Inc. for $3.5 million cash plus a $3.0 million seller note; the transaction was expected to close December 31, 2020. The acquisition expands Energy Services' capabilities and geographic presence in gas and water distribution utility services in southern West Virginia, and WV Pipeline's leadership (David and Daniel Bolton) will remain with the business.

Chart Industries Acquires BlueInGreen, LLC

Chart Industries (NASDAQ: GTLS) completed the acquisition of BlueInGreen, LLC, a water cleantech company specializing in dissolved-gas solutions for water treatment, for $20 million in cash plus a potential earn-out. The purchase expands Chart’s water-treatment and service capabilities by combining Chart’s cryogenic and gas delivery equipment with BlueInGreen’s gas-dissolution technology and TaaS/service offerings to serve municipal and industrial end markets.
