SGI Acquires Assets of Copan Systems

SGI (Silicon Graphics International) has purchased substantially all assets of Copan Systems for approximately $2 million in cash, assuming a limited number of liabilities and no debt. The acquisition expands SGI's storage portfolio by adding Copan's scalable, energy-efficient MAID persistent data platform and SGI intends to retain Copan's Longmont, Colorado office and hire select employees.
