Investment funds managed by Morgan Stanley Capital Partners completed an investment in Project Management Academy (also referred to as Educate 360 Holdings, LLC), with CEO Jason Cassidy and the existing management team remaining in place and retaining an equity stake. The transaction — a sale by Leeds Equity Partners — will support PMA's expansion into new markets, product portfolio growth and strategic M&A; terms were not disclosed.

Arlington Capital Partners Acquires Pond & Company

Arlington Capital Partners has acquired Pond & Company, a full-service design and engineering firm that supports federal government and private clients across energy, infrastructure and life sciences. The deal is Arlington's first platform investment from its oversubscribed $6 billion Fund VII; Pond is headquartered in Peachtree Corners, Georgia and employs more than 850 professionals across 21 offices. DC Capital Partners, which held a majority stake since 2019, sold the business.

Millpond Equity Partners and Hamilton Lane Invest in Galileo Education

Millpond Equity Partners, with financing from an affiliate of Hamilton Lane Impact Investments, made a growth investment in Galileo Education, a Franklin, Tennessee-based provider of personalized K–12 and special-needs schooling. Proceeds will be used to expand Galileo’s portfolio of local school brands across Tennessee, North Carolina, and Florida and to fund future acquisitions to build the platform.

Transition Capital Partners Acquires PAT Tank Inc.

Transition Capital Partners (TCP), with financing and an equity co-investment from Plexus Capital, acquired PAT Tank Inc., a Port Arthur, Texas-based provider of above-ground storage tank construction and repair. The transaction closed November 1, 2024, with 3 Rivers Capital selling its portfolio company; GulfStar served as exclusive financial advisor to PAT Tank. The deal positions TCP to capitalize on ongoing regulatory-driven demand for tank installation, repair and upgrades across Gulf Coast industrial markets.

Millpond Equity Partners Invests in Financial Aid Services LLC

Millpond Equity Partners, a Boca Raton-based private equity firm, has made an investment in Financial Aid Services LLC (FAS), an Atlanta-headquartered provider of outsourced financial aid and bursar office services to not-for-profit colleges and universities. The transaction will support FAS’s capacity and capability expansion while founders David and Gay Gray continue to lead the company; financing was provided by First Merchants Bank and Oxer Capital.

Sterling Partners to Take Keypath Education Private

Private equity firm Sterling Partners will acquire the outstanding shares of Keypath Education for AUD$187 million (approximately $186.8 million), taking the company private at A$0.87 per share. Sterling, already the majority shareholder, will make Keypath a wholly owned subsidiary to provide liquidity to public shareholders and support the company’s strategic pivot toward healthcare-focused online higher education in the US and APAC.
