Champlain-led Investor Group Creates Humanity Bakeries Inc. and Acquires Maison Isabelle

A group of Quebec investors led by Champlain Financial Corporation created Humanity Bakeries Inc. as a platform and acquired cake manufacturer Maison Isabelle Inc. Under the new platform, Maison Isabelle will combine with Boulangerie‑Pâtisserie Dumas (acquired earlier by Champlain); Dominique Bohec, former president and shareholder of Maison Isabelle, was hired to lead the platform. Financial terms were not disclosed.
