Ardian Acquires Cérélia from IK Investment Partners

Ardian has agreed to acquire Cérélia, a Paris-headquartered producer of ready-to-bake dough, pancakes, crepes and cookies, from the IK VII Fund advised by IK Investment Partners. Management, led by Guillaume Réveilhac, will retain a meaningful stake alongside Ardian as the buyer seeks to accelerate Cérélia's organic growth, acquisitions and geographic expansion across Europe and North America.

Kersia, the Ardian-backed global leader in food safety and biosecurity, has acquired Choisy Laboratories Ltd., a Quebec-based developer and manufacturer of chemical, biotechnological and biosecurity hygiene solutions, from the Trudeau family and Champlain Financial Corporation for an undisclosed amount. The deal expands Kersia's North American footprint, adds Choisy's enzymatic and biotech capabilities, and brings c.250 employees and additional R&D and manufacturing capacity into the Kersia network.

Verlinvest and Mistral Equity Partners purchased a majority ownership stake in Insomnia Cookies for a total enterprise value of $350 million, with the transaction closing on July 17, 2024. Krispy Kreme received $127.4 million (plus an expected $45 million following a refinance), will retain ~34% minority ownership, and Insomnia Cookies founder Seth Berkowitz will remain CEO.
