The acquisition expands HID's Healthcare RTLS portfolio—adding asset management, tracking, environmental monitoring, patient workflow and hand-hygiene capabilities—and integrates Vizzia into HID's Internet of Things Services business unit.

HID Global, an ASSA ABLOY Group company, has acquired Omni-ID, a Rochester-based manufacturer of rugged RAIN UHF RFID tags and industrial IoT hardware. The acquisition strengthens HID’s RFID and IoT capabilities — including passive UHF temperature sensing and active/tagging technologies — and expands its sales and manufacturing footprint in India and China.

HID Acquires Sewio Networks

HID has acquired Sewio Networks, a Brno-based provider of Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Real Time Location Systems (RTLS), to expand HID's RTLS portfolio and add high-precision UWB capability for asset tracking, intralogistics and smart factory use cases. Sewio’s hardware, on-premise and cloud software, and professional services will be integrated into HID’s Identification Technologies and Internet of Things Services units to better serve automotive and manufacturing customers.

Hudson Hill Capital Acquires Majority Stake in Blue.cloud

Hudson Hill Capital made a majority equity investment in Tampa-based cloud digital transformation firm Blue.cloud at an enterprise value exceeding $100 million. The capital will be used to expand AI capabilities, pursue acquisitions, and scale the team as Blue.cloud builds on a 2021 run-rate of roughly $39 million and a global workforce of about 320 employees.

Bluestem Equity Acquires United Vision Logistics

Bluestem Equity Ltd. completed the acquisition of Lafayette, Louisiana-based United Vision Logistics (UVL), a land transportation and logistics provider offering heavy haul, long haul, and expedited services across the United States and Canada. UVL — which operates out of Lafayette and Houston and maintains a network of over 100 facilities and a large fleet of owner-operators and partnered carriers — will continue operating under its existing leadership as Bluestem partners to grow the business.
