The deal expands MedImpact’s clinical, technology, health risk management and consumer empowerment capabilities as part of its reinvestment strategy and strengthens its position as an independent provider of health solutions and PBM services.

Dutch foodservice operator Bakerstreet has combined with Bart's Retail (operator of the Bakker Bart franchise) to form the newly created Vital Food Group. Bakerstreet will succeed Gilde Equity Management as majority shareholder in the group, aiming to accelerate roll-out of a new store formula and optimize store and e‑commerce operations across the combined platform.

Walgreens Acquires Fruth Pharmacy

Walgreens has acquired Fruth Pharmacy, a small West Virginia-based chain operating roughly a dozen community pharmacy locations, after the independent retailer cited pressure from reduced PBM reimbursement rates. The transaction transfers ownership from Lynne Fruth/the Fruth family to Walgreens (now controlled by Sycamore Partners) and aims to maintain pharmacy services for local communities in West Virginia and nearby areas.

Cooper Consumer Health Acquires Viatris' Over-the-Counter Business

Cooper Consumer Health has completed the acquisition of the Over-the-Counter (OTC) business of Viatris Inc., following regulatory approvals and worker council consultations. The deal brings more than 200 brands (including Betadine, Saugella, Armolipid and CB12), two manufacturing sites in Mérignac (France) and Confienza (Italy) and an R&D centre in Monza (Italy) into Cooper's platform, doubling Cooper's revenues to approximately €1.2bn.
