NeoLight Acquires interVIEW Medical Systems' ROP Certification Program

NeoLight signed a binding agreement to acquire key assets of interVIEW Medical Systems’ retinopathy-of-prematurity (ROP) education course and clinical exam, collectively the ROP Certification Program. The program—recognized by OMIC and the American Academy of Ophthalmology and used by over 60% of practicing pediatric ophthalmologists and retina specialists in the U.S.—will be integrated into NeoLight’s neonatal-care offerings while NeoLight works with interVIEW founding physicians to update and expand access.

TPG to Acquire Nextech from Thomas H. Lee Partners

TPG (through its TPG Capital platform) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Nextech, a provider of clinical and administrative healthcare technology and EMR software for specialty physician practices, from Thomas H. Lee Partners for $1.4 billion. The deal, expected to close in Q3 2023 subject to regulatory review, will allow TPG to expand its healthcare IT / SaaS portfolio and grow Nextech's platform and capabilities.

Phoenix Lighting Acquires Bright Light Systems

Phoenix Lighting, a portfolio company of JMC Capital Partners, has acquired Bright Light Systems, Inc., a Georgia-based lighting manufacturer and controls provider. The deal expands Phoenix's industrial lighting capabilities and adds a specialized lighting controls and monitoring platform to better serve ports, terminals and other heavy-industrial end markets.

West Physics Acquires Phoenix Technology Corporation

The transaction is West Physics' first add-on since LNC Partners' initial investment in May 2018 and expands West Physics' scale and presence in the market.

BioNTech Acquires Neon Therapeutics

IPG Photonics Acquires Innovative Laser Technologies from Generation Growth Capital for $40M

IPG Photonics Corporation has acquired Innovative Laser Technologies, Inc. (ILT) from Generation Growth Capital Fund II, LP for $40 million in cash. ILT, a Minneapolis-based designer and manufacturer of high-precision laser systems for medical device OEMs, will expand IPG's ability to deliver turnkey laser systems and integrated solutions to the medical device market and other end-user industries.
