Beauty Industry Group (BIG), a Salt Lake City-based leader in professionally installed hair extensions and beauty products, has acquired Beauty Works, a UK luxury hair extension brand headquartered in Cheshire. The acquisition gives BIG a strong market position in the United Kingdom and Europe; financial terms were not disclosed and Beauty Works' leadership will remain in place.

Existing shareholders — including HGGC, CEO Derrick Porter, and the management team — will reinvest and retain a meaningful minority stake as L Catterton partners with BIG to accelerate brand building, DTC expansion and international growth.

Beauty Industry Group (BIG), a Salt Lake City–based hair extensions and beauty products company, has acquired Hairtalk GmbH, a leading hair extensions, wigs and toupee brand headquartered in Erlangen, Germany. The deal keeps Hairtalk’s headquarters and leadership in Erlangen and is intended to unify the Hairtalk brand across Europe and North America to support BIG’s expansion into Europe.

H.I.G. Capital Acquires Majority Stake in Pinalli S.r.l.

P&G Beauty (Procter & Gamble) Acquires Mielle Organics

P&G Beauty, a division of Procter & Gamble, is acquiring Mielle Organics, the textured hair care brand founded by Monique and Melvin Rodriguez, with the deal pending regulatory approval. Berkshire Partners has sold its stake in Mielle; the brand will operate as an independent subsidiary led by its founders and both P&G and Mielle have committed $10 million each to the Mielle Cares charity to expand community impact.

Creative Brands Acquires Bella il Fiore

Creative Brands (a subsidiary of CBC Group) has acquired Bella il Fiore, a family-owned Tulsa-based maker of sleep, spa and beauty textiles focused on the specialty gift, spa and wellness markets. Creative Brands said the acquisition will expand its women's sleepwear and spa product offerings and leverage its distribution, field sales, telemarketing and web capabilities to grow the Bella brand.
