Privately held JARS Cannabis has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Euflora LLC, adding six recreational dispensaries and a 7,200 sq. ft. cultivation center and greenhouse in Colorado. The deal expands JARS' retail footprint to 26 storefronts across three states, increases product assortment and customer reach, and is intended to drive operational and retail synergies in core recreational markets.

Jushi Holdings Inc. Acquires NuLeaf, Inc.

Jushi Holdings Inc. completed the acquisition of Nevada-based NuLeaf, Inc., purchasing its retail dispensaries, a 27,000 sq. ft. cultivation facility and a 13,000 sq. ft. processing facility for up to US$53.6 million. The deal expands Jushi's Nevada retail footprint to four dispensaries and strengthens its cultivation and manufacturing capabilities in the state.

Ayr Wellness Acquires Cultivauna, LLC (Levia)

Ayr Wellness Inc. has entered into a binding letter of intent to acquire 100% of Cultivauna, LLC, the owner of the Levia brand of cannabis-infused seltzers and tinctures. The deal includes $20 million in upfront consideration (up to $10 million cash, remainder in stock) and an earn-out of up to $40 million in shares tied to 2022–2023 revenue targets; the acquisition is expected to close by the end of 2021 subject to regulatory approvals.

GrowerIQ Acquires Ample Organics from Akerna

Toronto-based GrowerIQ has acquired fellow cannabis software provider Ample Organics from U.S.-based Akerna in an all-cash deal that closed in December; financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition brings Ample's seven employees onto GrowerIQ's ~25-person team and combines two seed-to-sale ERP platforms to create what GrowerIQ calls the largest cannabis tech platform in Canada (and a stronger position in Europe).

Cresco Labs Acquires Cultivate in Massachusetts

Cresco Labs has closed its acquisition of Cultivate, a vertically integrated Massachusetts cannabis operator with three dispensaries and approximately 42,000 square feet of active cultivation canopy. The deal increases Cresco's in-state cultivation to ~64,000 square feet and expands its retail footprint in Massachusetts as part of a strategy to deepen presence in large, attractive state markets.

NuEra Enterprises Acquires Oasis Painting & Renovation

Chicago-based Oasis Painting & Renovation, a family-owned residential renovation and maintenance services provider, was sold by owner John Jensen in a transition managed by Sun Acquisitions to strategic acquirer NuEra Enterprises. The transaction transfers a multi-decade, apartment- and property-management-focused renovation business to NuEra, which will continue the company's painting, restoration, and renovation services.
