The deal expands CPI's vertical integration and presence in high-growth Texas markets and led CPI to raise its fiscal 2025 guidance to reflect Lone Star's expected contribution.

Penske Truck Leasing Acquires Star Truck Rentals, Inc.

Penske Truck Leasing agreed to acquire Star Truck Rentals, Inc., a Michigan-based transportation services company that offers full-service leasing, commercial truck rental, contract maintenance and used truck sales. The acquisition adds Star’s ~1,900 vehicles and 18 locations across Michigan and Indiana to Penske’s network; financial terms were not disclosed and the transaction was expected to close in Q2 2023 subject to customary approvals.

Marcone (Genstar Portfolio) Acquires Professional Plumbing Group

Marcone, a portfolio company of Genstar Capital, acquired Professional Plumbing Group (PPG) from Dunes Point Capital. The acquisition expands Marcone’s parts and distribution footprint into the plumbing repair and remodel market, adding PPG’s proprietary brands (Wolverine Brass and Speakman), ~20,000 SKUs and ~10,000 customers to Marcone’s platform.
