RTI Surgical, a Montagu-backed CDMO, has agreed to acquire Collagen Solutions, a global supplier of engineered medical-grade collagen and xenograft tissue, expanding RTI's soft-tissue biomaterials capabilities. The acquisition broadens RTI's access to high-growth therapeutic areas including cardiac, sports medicine and orthopedics, and plastic and reconstructive surgery; Collagen Solutions is headquartered in Eden Prairie, Minnesota with additional sites in the U.K. and New Zealand.

Linden Capital Partners Acquires Collagen Matrix, Inc.

Linden Capital Partners, a Chicago-based healthcare private equity firm, has acquired Collagen Matrix, Inc., a New Jersey-based developer and manufacturer of collagen-based medical products used in tissue and bone repair across orthopedic, sports medicine, dental, and neurosurgery markets. The transaction (financing provided by Golub Capital and Northwestern Mutual) supports Linden's focus on medical products, contract/private-label manufacturing and expansion in dental and orthopedic end markets; Metalmark Capital was the prior owner.

Liverpool-based health brand builder Vector Consumer Ltd has acquired premium collagen start-up Pura Collagen, adding the science-backed ingestible beauty brand to its portfolio that includes SOLV and the Liverpool FC sports and wellness range. Pura co-founders Jennifer Mo and Rob Knowles will join Vector’s senior leadership team to lead strategy, supply chain and logistics as Vector aims to expand its presence and become the authoritative voice in collagen.
