Kohlberg & Company Acquires Nelipak Healthcare Packaging

Kohlberg & Company, a Mount Kisco, New York-based private equity firm, has acquired Nelipak Healthcare Packaging, a Cranston, Rhode Island-based manufacturer of custom rigid packaging for medical devices and pharmaceutical drug delivery products, from Mason Wells. Kohlberg plans to invest in Nelipak to expand capabilities and pursue organic and M&A-driven growth, using Nelipak as a platform for further industry consolidation.

ILC Dover Acquires KSE Scientific

ILC Dover has acquired KSE Scientific, a Durham, North Carolina-based manufacturer of Water for Injection (WFI) and related sterile solutions for biopharma, cell & gene therapy, tissue banking and medical device customers. The acquisition expands ILC Dover’s life-sciences manufacturing capabilities and integrates KSE’s sterile consumable product line into ILC’s broader biopharmaceutical workflow solutions; KSE will continue to operate under its own brand and its founder, James Lally, will remain with the company.

Marco Rubber & Plastics Acquires American Seal & Packing

The add-on expands Marco's product depth and online distribution capabilities, providing access to AS&P's customer base across aerospace, utility, oil & gas, chemical and wastewater end-markets.

Arkema Acquires Permoseal to Strengthen Adhesives Position in South Africa

Arkema completed the acquisition of Permoseal (owner of the Alcolin brand) on July 1, 2022, bringing a South African adhesives leader into its Bostik adhesive solutions offering. Permoseal generated €43 million in sales in 2021, operates two production plants in South Africa and will help Arkema/Bostik expand in South Africa and Sub‑Saharan Africa across construction, DIY and packaging markets.

GELPAC Acquires WBC Extrusion Products, Inc.

GELPAC, a portfolio company of NAMAKOR, has acquired WBC Extrusion Products, Inc., a Haverhill, Massachusetts-based manufacturer of single-use blown polymer films for food, industrial, automotive, medical and commercial packaging. The deal, supported/financed by NAMAKOR and institutional investors including CDPQ and le Fonds Manufacturier Québécois, expands GELPAC's North American manufacturing footprint and integrates WBC's R&D and production capabilities with GELPAC's existing plants.

Sealed Air (SEE) Acquires Foxpak Flexibles Ltd.

Sealed Air (NYSE: SEE) has acquired Foxpak Flexibles Ltd., a privately-owned Irish flexible packaging company known for pioneering digital printing on pouches and flexible films. The acquisition, conducted under SEE Ventures, adds digital printing and highly decorated flexible-packaging capabilities to Sealed Air’s portfolio and will support innovations in smart and digitally printed packaging for food, pet food, seafood and snacks markets.
