Vancouver-based private equity firm CAI Capital Partners has partnered with Midwestern Electric, a specialty electrical infrastructure services provider headquartered in East Chicago, Indiana. Management (including Ryan Rentschler, Ryan Lepper and Lenore Obajtek) retained meaningful equity and will continue to lead the business as CAI provides capital (with debt financing from CIBC) to support platform growth and expansion of MWE's municipal and commercial electrical services.

Forward Solutions, a portfolio company of Osceola Capital, completed four acquisitions—ElectroRep Inc., R/B Sales Corporation, Madigan McCune & Associates, and Upper Midwest Utility Sales—to establish a new electrical division and expand its StruXur utility, telecom and power division. Two of the acquired firms (ElectroRep and R/B Sales) will be merged into a new electrical supplies division, while Madigan McCune and Upper Midwest Utility Sales will be integrated into Forward Solutions' StruXur utility division to broaden geographic coverage and product offerings.

Gemspring Capital Acquires Midland Industries

Midway will continue to operate under its existing leadership while gaining access to Summit's platform resources, capital, and multi-family office services to support growth and expand Summit's presence in Illinois.
