Beacon Communications, a national critical communications and life-safety systems provider based in Littleton, Colorado, acquired Southern California–based Thompson Engineering effective October 22, 2024. The acquisition expands Beacon's presence and capabilities in healthcare, education, government and energy facilities across Southern California and transitions Thompson from a 53-year family-owned business as CEO Adam Thompson retires.

Tata Communications Acquires Kaleyra

Tata Communications has completed the acquisition of Kaleyra, Inc., a global CPaaS provider, for approximately $100 million in cash plus assumption of Kaleyra's outstanding debt. Kaleyra and its subsidiaries are now wholly owned by Tata Communications, combining Tata's customer engagement solutions with Kaleyra's communications platform to expand capability in intelligent, multi-channel customer interactions.

Thayer Infrastructure Services Acquires Heartland Solutions Corp.

Thayer Infrastructure Services, LLC (TIS) completed the acquisition of Heartland Solutions Corp., a wireless communications construction firm headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. Heartland will operate under TIS's American Cell Enterprises operating company as an add-on to expand TIS's wireless and tower services; terms were not disclosed.

Thayer Infrastructure Services Acquires Dynetek Solutions, LLC

Thayer Infrastructure Services, LLC completed the acquisition of Dynetek Solutions, LLC, a Charlotte-based provider of horizontal directional drilling and underground utility installation services. Dynetek's founder Shenar Wood will continue to oversee the business as it is integrated into the TIS platform, which is owned by private equity firm Calera Capital; the deal expands TIS's capabilities in the utility, telecommunications, and renewable energy markets in the Southeastern U.S.

PS&S Acquires B. Thayer Associates to Expand New York Presence

EarthLink Acquires Nextera Communications

EarthLink has acquired Nextera Communications, a Minnesota-based provider of fixed wireless, voice, and data solutions, to expand its business internet and fixed wireless footprint in the Midwest. The deal brings Nextera's employees, services, and customers into EarthLink Business and is effective immediately; financial terms were not disclosed.
