Macquarie Asset Management-Led Consortium Acquires Reden Solar

A consortium led by Macquarie Asset Management, alongside British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) and MEAG, has agreed to acquire Reden Solar from InfraVia Capital Partners and Eurazeo for an enterprise value of €2.5 billion. The deal will support Reden Solar's plan to scale its 762 MW operational portfolio and 15 GW development pipeline across Europe and Latin America, expanding its presence in existing and new markets.

Macquarie GIG Acquires BayWa r.e. Bioenergy GmbH

Macquarie Asset Management's Green Investment Group (GIG), via its Macquarie GIG Energy Transition Solutions fund, has acquired BayWa r.e. Bioenergy GmbH from BayWa r.e. AG. The specialist biogas platform owns five operational biomethane plants in Germany and a development pipeline in Italy; GIG said it will grow the business across Germany, Italy and other European markets.

BCI Takes Significant Minority Stake in Authority Brands

Macquarie Asset Management Acquires 49.9% Stake in Hydro Rein

Macquarie Asset Management has completed a US$332 million investment to acquire a 49.9% stake in Hydro Rein from Hydro (Norsk Hydro), with the stake held by the Macquarie Green Energy and Climate Opportunities Fund. The investment will finance Hydro Rein's 8.4 GW renewable project pipeline across the Nordics and Brazil and support expansion of renewable solutions for industrial decarbonization.

Ares Management Acquires Dynamic Renewables with Minority Investment from NorthWestern Energy

A fund managed by Ares Management's Infrastructure Opportunities strategy has acquired Dynamic Renewables, a U.S.-based developer, owner and operator of anaerobic digestion and renewable natural gas (RNG) projects. An unregulated affiliate of NorthWestern Energy also took a small minority stake; the investments will support development, construction and expansion of Dynamic's pipeline and operating assets, including the BC Organics facility in Wisconsin.

Macquarie Asset Management Recapitalizes Coastal Waste & Recycling

A fund managed by Macquarie Asset Management has completed the recapitalization of Coastal Waste & Recycling and become the company's majority owner. Coastal, a vertically integrated solid waste and recycling operator headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, will continue to be led by CEO Brendon Pantano while prior investors Summer Street Capital Partners and Concentric Equity Partners exit and retain a minority stake alongside management.
