Macquarie Asset Management Acquires DTG Recycle

A fund managed by Macquarie Asset Management has completed the acquisition/recapitalization of DTG Recycle from Clairvest and other shareholders. DTG management (CEO Tom Vaughn and Chief Development Officer Dan Guimont) will retain ownership stakes and continue to run the business as MAM supports the company’s next stage of growth and geographic expansion across the Pacific Northwest.

Coastal Waste & Recycling, a Macquarie Asset Management portfolio company, has acquired Ridgeland, South Carolina-based Pro Disposal USA, a vertically integrated solid waste management provider serving the Lowcountry region. The add-on expands Coastal's footprint across high-growth southeastern U.S. markets; terms were not disclosed and Brown Gibbons Lang & Company served as financial advisor to Pro Disposal.

Firmament Recapitalizes Whitecap Waste

Firmament (through funds it manages) completed a recapitalization of Whitecap Waste, a regional solid waste collection company serving over 30,000 customers in southern West Virginia. The seller was Mollitiam Holdings; Whitecap Waste President Michael Schmidt will remain in his role and Firmament said the investment will support growth, operational capability expansion, and entry into new geographies.
