Technip Energies Acquires Ecovyst's Advanced Materials & Catalysts Business

Technip Energies has completed the acquisition of Ecovyst’s Advanced Materials & Catalysts (AM&C) segment in a transaction reported around $556 million, bringing approximately 330 AM&C employees into Technip. Ecovyst expects net proceeds of about $530 million (using $465 million to pay down term debt), while Technip said the deal expands its catalysts and advanced materials capabilities to support sustainable fuels, circular chemistry and carbon-capture applications.

Access Control Systems (ACS), a Brixey & Meyer Capital–backed system integrator headquartered in Nashville, acquired Access Control Technologies (ACT), a Central Florida installer of automated gate systems headquartered in Orlando. The deal was sourced from Mike Knarreborg and his partners and is intended to expand ACS’s Florida presence, add capabilities, and accelerate ACT’s growth.

Acrisure Acquires Catalyst Technology Group and ITS Inc. to Expand Cyber Services

Acrisure has acquired two managed service providers, Catalyst Technology Group (Indianapolis, IN) and ITS Inc. (Bar Mills, ME), to expand capabilities within its Acrisure Cyber Services division. The acquisitions add managed IT, IBM systems design and integration, and expanded cloud and security engineering experience to Acrisure's cyber offerings; terms were not disclosed.

Edwin James Group, trading as March Engineering and backed by Aliter Capital, has acquired Automated Control Solutions Holdings Limited (trading as ACS). The bolt-on purchase retains ACS's staff and leadership and expands the group's systems-integration, OT automation and electrical engineering capacity—strengthening its process engineering and digitalisation offering for manufacturing customers, particularly in food & beverage and liquid processing.

MIRATECH Acquires Powertherm Maxim

MIRATECH Group, LLC has acquired Powertherm Maxim, a Houston-based manufacturer of industrial reciprocating engine silencers, exhaust and intake systems, and related accessories, from the Nesloney family. The deal expands MIRATECH's manufacturing capacity (adding a 100,000 sq. ft. Houston fabrication shop), broadens its product portfolio and customer reach across power generation, energy infrastructure, marine and industrial markets.

TPG Rise Climate Acquires MIRATECH

TPG Rise Climate, the climate investing strategy of TPG, has acquired MIRATECH Corp., a North American market leader in aftermarket emissions and noise reduction technology for stationary industrial engines. The seller was BP Energy Partners (portfolio company of BP Natural Gas Opportunity Partners II); TPG plans to leverage MIRATECH's engineering and manufacturing capabilities to expand products, end markets (including data center backup power), and geographic reach to support decarbonization efforts.
