IDEX Corporation Acquires Iridian Spectral Technologies

IDEX Corporation agreed to acquire Iridian Spectral Technologies for CAD 150 million and completed the acquisition in May 2023. Iridian, an Ottawa-based designer and manufacturer of thin-film optical filters serving laser communications, telecommunications and life sciences markets, will join IDEX's Optical Technologies within its Health & Science Technology segment to expand IDEX's optical coating and filter capabilities.

Luxium Solutions, an affiliate of private equity firms SK Capital Partners and Edgewater Capital Partners, acquired Inrad Optics in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $19 million (including assumed debt) and $1.10 per share. The deal, completed July 2, 2024, makes Inrad a privately held, U.S.-controlled business and is intended to expand Luxium's optics and photonics manufacturing capabilities and capacity.
