ConnectWise (Thoma Bravo Portfolio) Acquires StratoZen and Perch Security

ConnectWise, a portfolio company of Thoma Bravo, acquired cybersecurity firms StratoZen and Perch Security to expand its Fortify security management and unified Asio/Fusion platform capabilities for MSPs/TSPs. StratoZen (Salt Lake City) provides a SOAR platform and managed security services to ~1,000 organizations, while Perch offers an MSP-designed SIEM; both will be integrated into ConnectWise's security and SOC offerings.

ConnectWise Acquires Continuum and ITBoost

ConnectWise announced acquisitions of Continuum and ITBoost, adding Continuum’s AI-enabled RMM, managed security/NOC/SOC and ITBoost’s IT documentation capabilities to its business automation platform. The moves (alongside a partnership with Webinfinity) expand ConnectWise’s product suite for technology solution providers and strengthen managed services, security and documentation capabilities for MSP/TSP customers.

Thoma Bravo Acquires Majority Interest in Apttus

Thoma Bravo signed a definitive agreement to acquire a majority interest in Apttus, a San Mateo–based provider of Quote-to-Cash, Contract Lifecycle Management and Middle Office software. The deal (expected to close in early October 2018) will pair Apttus’ enterprise revenue-management platform with Thoma Bravo’s software operating experience to accelerate growth and scale; financial and legal advisors and financing partners were disclosed but financial terms were not.

ConnectWise Acquires Wise-Sync

Thoma Bravo Acquires Calypso Technology from Bridgepoint and Summit Partners

Thoma Bravo has agreed to acquire Calypso Technology from private equity owners Bridgepoint and Summit Partners; the transaction is expected to close in Q2 2021 subject to regulatory approvals and financial terms were not disclosed. Calypso, a San Francisco–based provider of cloud-enabled, front-to-back capital markets software and managed services, will partner with Thoma Bravo to accelerate product innovation, cloud adoption and growth through organic investment and M&A.
