Direct Travel Acquires Professional Travel

Direct Travel announced on January 14, 2020 that it has acquired Professional Travel, a Cleveland-based corporate travel management company. Professional Travel, founded in 1963 with more than 175 employees and approximately $448 million in combined sales, will retain its executive leadership and be integrated into Direct Travel to deepen North American presence and expand service offerings for mid-market clients.

The deal — excluding certain assets such as The Red Carnation Hotel Collection — is part of TTC's family succession plan and is expected to close in Q4 2024, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
