Antin Infrastructure Partners Acquires FirstLight from Oak Hill Capital

Antin Infrastructure Partners has entered into an agreement to acquire FirstLight, a fiber-optic bandwidth infrastructure provider headquartered in Albany, New York, from Oak Hill Capital Partners IV. The acquisition, intended to accelerate FirstLight’s growth and enhance its service capabilities for enterprise and carrier customers across the Northeast, was expected to close in the second half of 2018; financial terms were not disclosed.

Lightpath to Acquire United Fiber & Data Assets

Lightpath has signed a definitive agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of United Fiber & Data; the deal is subject to regulatory approvals and expected to close in Q3 2024. The acquisition adds a geographically diverse, high-fiber-count 323-route mile long-haul network between New York City and Ashburn, VA, plus a 79-route mile metro network in NYC/NJ, expanding Lightpath's capacity into the Ashburn data center ecosystem and increasing Manhattan serviceable market by over 20%.

FirstLight Acquires BestWeb

FirstLight, a fiber-optic network operator backed by Antin Infrastructure Partners, agreed to acquire BestWeb to deepen its fiber footprint across Westchester, Rockland and Putnam counties, adding approximately 170 route miles of fiber. The deal, announced June 3, 2020, was expected to close in Q4 2020 (and subsequently completed later that year) and expands FirstLight’s capability to serve K-12, enterprise and carrier customers in the lower Hudson Valley.

FirstLight Acquires PrimeLink

FirstLight has signed a definitive agreement to acquire PrimeLink, a regional provider of voice and data services and a subsidiary of The Champlain Telephone Company. The deal expands FirstLight's fiber footprint across Upstate New York (including Plattsburgh, Glens Falls, Queensbury, Albany and the Lake Champlain corridor) and adds fiber capacity on a route into Montreal, Canada; financial terms were not disclosed and the transaction was expected to close in Q3 2020.

Ideal Integrations Acquires 1Path

Ideal Integrations, a Pittsburgh-based managed services and cybersecurity provider, has completed the acquisition of 1Path, an Atlanta-based managed IT services provider, creating a nationwide managed services platform. The deal, completed with involvement from Frontenac (which has supported Ideal through a prior recapitalization), expands Ideal's cybersecurity capabilities and broadens the combined organization's managed services and cloud offerings.

SitelogIQ Acquires Path Company

SitelogIQ, a national energy services and facility improvement solutions provider, acquired Path Company, a NAESCO-accredited energy services firm serving municipal, K-12 and higher education customers in the Southeastern United States. The add-on acquisition (financial terms undisclosed) expands SitelogIQ’s geographic footprint into six additional southeastern states and broadens its service capabilities in lighting, HVAC, water efficiency and renewable power.
