Lightpath Acquires Cambridge Network Solutions, Hub Fiber Assets and Local Provider to Enter Boston Market

Lightpath announced three concurrent acquisitions to establish an all-fiber, enterprise-grade presence in the Greater Boston area: the purchase of Cambridge Network Solutions (CNS), a second local connectivity provider (unnamed), and the acquisition of fiber network assets from Hub Fiber. The deals add over 80 route miles of fiber serving more than 100 locations (including 12 data centers) and connect Lightpath’s new Boston footprint to its NY Metro network.

Lightpath Acquires WANRack's Phoenix Network Assets

Lightpath has acquired WANRack’s network assets and customers in Phoenix, Arizona, adding 133 miles of fiber and bringing Lightpath’s Phoenix footprint to 363 miles. The deal expands Lightpath’s presence in the Phoenix market as it builds a 230-mile network; WANRack is majority‑owned by CBRE Investment Management and is headquartered in the Kansas City metro area.

DC BLOX Acquires Southeastern Fiber Assets from Light Source Communications and Ascendant Capital

DC BLOX has acquired Southeastern dark fiber assets from Light Source Communications and Ascendant Capital (Ascendant Fiber Capital), including a long-haul route under development from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to Atlanta, Georgia. The transaction brings Light Source co-founders Debra Freitas and Pete Empie to DC BLOX to lead fiber development, and DC BLOX said Post Road Group, Bain Capital and Ascendant Capital Partners are providing financial support to accelerate deployment across the Southeast.

Gilat Satellite Networks Acquires DataPath, Inc.

Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. has completed the acquisition of DataPath, Inc., a U.S.-based provider of secure communications and satellite systems for the U.S. Department of Defense and other government customers. The deal, approved by both companies' boards and cleared by CFIUS, is intended to expand Gilat's presence in the defense market and create cross-selling and technology-integration synergies between the companies' satellite communications offerings.

FirstLight Acquires TruePath Technologies

FirstLight has completed its acquisition of TruePath Technologies, adding TruePath's network and enterprise monitoring capabilities to FirstLight's managed services portfolio. The deal, an add-on to FirstLight (which is PE-backed by Antin Infrastructure Partners), is intended to expand FirstLight's managed monitoring and enterprise monitoring offerings for its carrier and enterprise customers across the Northeast and mid‑Atlantic.

Morrison & Co-Led Consortium Acquires FiberLight

Funds managed by H.R.L. Morrison & Co, together with Australian Retirement Trust and a managed client of UBS Asset Management, signed a definitive agreement to acquire FiberLight, a U.S. fiber infrastructure provider, from Thermo Companies. The consortium will support FiberLight's network expansion across major U.S. markets to meet rising demand for high-bandwidth connectivity; terms were not disclosed and the deal is subject to customary closing conditions.
