Antin Infrastructure Partners Acquires FirstLight from Oak Hill Capital

Antin Infrastructure Partners has entered into an agreement to acquire FirstLight, a fiber-optic bandwidth infrastructure provider headquartered in Albany, New York, from Oak Hill Capital Partners IV. The acquisition, intended to accelerate FirstLight’s growth and enhance its service capabilities for enterprise and carrier customers across the Northeast, was expected to close in the second half of 2018; financial terms were not disclosed.

FirstLight Acquires ColoSpace

FirstLight, a Northeast fiber-optic and telecom provider headquartered in Albany, New York, acquired Massachusetts-based ColoSpace, a regional colocation and managed IT services provider. The acquisition adds four data centers (nearly 20,000 square feet) and expands FirstLight's data center, cloud and managed services capabilities across Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire; financial terms were not disclosed.

FirstLight Acquires BestWeb

FirstLight, a fiber-optic network operator backed by Antin Infrastructure Partners, agreed to acquire BestWeb to deepen its fiber footprint across Westchester, Rockland and Putnam counties, adding approximately 170 route miles of fiber. The deal, announced June 3, 2020, was expected to close in Q4 2020 (and subsequently completed later that year) and expands FirstLight’s capability to serve K-12, enterprise and carrier customers in the lower Hudson Valley.

Lightpath to Acquire United Fiber & Data Assets

Lightpath has signed a definitive agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of United Fiber & Data; the deal is subject to regulatory approvals and expected to close in Q3 2024. The acquisition adds a geographically diverse, high-fiber-count 323-route mile long-haul network between New York City and Ashburn, VA, plus a 79-route mile metro network in NYC/NJ, expanding Lightpath's capacity into the Ashburn data center ecosystem and increasing Manhattan serviceable market by over 20%.

FirstLight Power Acquires Hydroméga Services Inc.

FirstLight Power has signed an agreement to acquire Hydroméga Services Inc., adding ownership interests in ten operating hydroelectric stations across Québec and Northeastern Ontario and a development pipeline of over 2 GW of wind, solar, storage, and hydro projects. The deal expands FirstLight's North American development pipeline to ~4 GW and increases its operating capacity in Québec and Ontario; the transaction was expected to close in Q4 2023 and remains subject to customary closing conditions.

FirstLight Acquires TruePath Technologies
