UFP Industries Acquires PalletOne

UFP Industries, through its subsidiary UFP Industrial, LLC, acquired 100% of PalletOne, Inc. for approximately $232 million, with PalletOne's management team (including President Howe Wallace) remaining in place. The acquisition expands UFP's industrial packaging and pressure-treated lumber capabilities, adding PalletOne's 17 manufacturing locations (22 total sites across affiliates), Sunbelt Forest Products and SunOne Logistics, and more than 1,500 employees.

Conner Industries Acquires Guardian Packaging Industries

Conner Industries, a Fort Worth-based provider of lumber and integrated packaging solutions, has acquired Guardian Packaging Industries LP, a Garland, Texas-based foam cutting and integrated packaging specialist (including its Southwest Air Products division). The acquisition expands Conner's integrated packaging footprint and capabilities — including foam, corrugate and adhesive foam tape production — and supports growth into military/defense and other industrial end markets in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

ProAmpac Acquires UP Paper

ProAmpac, a Cincinnati-based flexible packaging company owned by Pritzker Private Capital, has acquired UP Paper, a Manistique, Michigan producer of 100% unbleached recycled kraft paper. The acquisition expands ProAmpac's recycled paper packaging portfolio and strengthens its sustainable materials offering for food service, eCommerce and retail end markets; terms were not disclosed.

Primary Packaging Incorporated Acquires Packaging Horizons Corporation

Primary Packaging Incorporated (a Field Packaging Solutions company) has acquired Packaging Horizons Corporation, a longtime manufacturer of tamper-evident security bags and specialized security overwrap films. The deal expands Primary Packaging’s polyethylene extrusion and film converting capabilities, adding tamper-evident product lines used across pharmaceutical, medical and food packaging markets.

UFP Industries Subsidiary Deckorators Acquires Ultra Aluminum Manufacturing

UFP Industries’ subsidiary Deckorators, Inc. acquired Ultra Aluminum Manufacturing Inc., a Howell, Michigan manufacturer of ornamental aluminum fencing, gates and railing, for $25.0 million with an additional $2.0 million contingent on performance. The acquisition adds aluminum fencing and railing to Deckorators’ product lineup and preserves existing Ultra leadership while expanding UFP’s building-products offerings.

Georgia-Pacific Acquires Anchor Packaging

Georgia-Pacific has completed the acquisition of Anchor Packaging from the company's investors, including TJC, L.P.; financial terms were not disclosed. Anchor Packaging — a St. Louis–headquartered thermoformer operating four manufacturing facilities and two warehouses with ~1,250 employees — will become a wholly owned subsidiary to expand Georgia-Pacific's consumer products and foodservice packaging capabilities.
