Cisco Acquires Fluidmesh Networks

Cisco announced its intent to acquire Fluidmesh Networks to strengthen Cisco's industrial wireless and Industrial IoT offerings, adding Fluidmesh's wireless backhaul technology for on-the-move assets (trains, subways, ports). The deal was expected to close in Cisco's fiscal Q4 2020 and the Fluidmesh team will join Cisco's IoT business to accelerate deployments in rail, mining, ports and other industrial markets.

Isos Technology Acquires HyperVelocity

Isos Technology, an Atlassian Platinum Solution & Enterprise Partner owned by The Acacia Group, has acquired HyperVelocity, an Atlassian professional services firm headquartered in Vancouver, Washington. The acquisition expands Isos' Agile services and public sector capabilities — HyperVelocity will continue operating under its own brand while the combined Atlassian practice (including MajorKey) increases scale in the public sector and enterprise markets.

Zscaler Acquires Avalor for $350M

Zscaler has acquired Israeli cybersecurity startup Avalor for $350 million, expanding its Zero Trust Exchange with Avalor's Data Fabric for Security and Unified Vulnerability Management capabilities. The deal, which closed on March 13, 2024, will have Avalor operate as an independent unit within Zscaler to continue developing its data and AI-driven security solutions.

Cisco Announces Intent to Acquire Lightspin

Cisco announced its intent to acquire Lightspin Technologies Ltd., a Tel Aviv-based cloud security software company that provides cloud security posture management (CSPM) and graph-based attack-path analysis. The acquisition will expand Cisco's cloud-native security and observability capabilities, integrating Lightspin's team and technology into Cisco's Emerging Technologies & Incubation (ET&I) unit to help customers identify, prioritize, and remediate cloud security risks.

SS8 Networks Acquires Assets of Bivio Networks

The acquisition is intended to enhance scalability, performance and application support for Xcipio and brings NIAP Common Criteria certification and CSfC Components List coverage from Bivio's platforms.

Cisco Acquires Kenna Security

Cisco announced the acquisition of Kenna Security, a Santa Clara-based provider of risk-based vulnerability management that uses machine learning and data science to prioritize vulnerabilities. The deal brings Kenna's vulnerability management capabilities into Cisco's SecureX platform to improve threat prioritization, collaboration between security and IT teams, and overall customer security posture.
