Cisco to Acquire Isovalent

Cisco announced it intends to acquire Isovalent, a cloud-native networking and security startup best known for developing eBPF-based projects such as Cilium and Tetragon, to bolster its multicloud networking and security capabilities. The Isovalent team will join Cisco's Security Business Group and Cisco said it will continue to support the open source projects; the deal is expected to close in Cisco's third fiscal quarter of 2024.
