Acino Acquires Select IlmixGroup Pharmaceutical Portfolio in Russia

Acino has completed the acquisition of a select portfolio of prescription pharmaceutical products and food supplements from the IlmixGroup group of companies in Russia. The deal (asset purchase) includes multiple brands used in gynaecology, oncology, urology and dermatology and is accompanied by manufacturing and supply agreements with MiraxBioPharma to ensure continued local production.

Rodenstock Group, a portfolio company of Apax Partners, has agreed to acquire the majority stake in Indo from Ergon Capital Partners III SA; minority investors Sherpa Capital and Oquendo Capital are also selling their stakes while Indo's management will reinvest in the combined group. Indo, a leading Spanish manufacturer of ophthalmic lenses and distributor of optical equipment with ~440 employees and production plants in Barcelona and Tangier, will join Rodenstock subject to antitrust clearance.
