Charlotte-based Jenkins Electric has acquired Wheeler Bearing Company, a sleeve and fluid film bearing manufacturer in North Charleston, South Carolina. The purchase expands Jenkins’ industrial motor parts, precision manufacturing and rebabbitting capabilities while retaining Wheeler’s technical and customer-service team at the North Charleston facility.

Herc Rentals Acquires Quality Equipment Rentals and Aerial Work Platforms

Herc Rentals (Herc Holdings Inc.) has acquired two independent U.S. equipment rental businesses: California-based Quality Equipment Rentals and Wisconsin-based Aerial Work Platforms, Inc. The Aerial Work Platforms sale was completed with Borgman Capital (the seller) while Quality Equipment Rentals' majority owners Dennis and Diann Wells sold their business; terms were not disclosed.
