Lou-Tec, a Quebec-based heavy machinery and equipment rental company, has acquired Torcan Lift Equipment, an Ontario specialist in aerial lift sales, rental and maintenance. The deal expands Lou-Tec's presence into Ontario, adds Torcan's fleet and teams to Lou-Tec's network, and is supported by Lou-Tec's private equity backers to accelerate growth and geographic expansion.

Toromont Industries Acquires 60% Stake in AVL Manufacturing Inc.

Toromont Industries Ltd. has acquired a 60% ownership stake in AVL Manufacturing Inc., a Hamilton, Ontario-based designer and fabricator of power generation and energy storage enclosures that serves the data centre market across eastern North America. The purchase was paid in cash and Toromont shares, and Toromont has committed to buying the remaining 40% by agreed dates through 2031 based on performance; the acquisition secures supply for Toromont Power Systems and is not expected to have a material near-term impact on combined results.

Herc Rentals Acquires Summit Equipment Rentals

Herc Rentals has acquired Summit Equipment Rentals, a three-location equipment rental operator in Southern California. The deal expands Herc Rentals' presence in the Los Angeles and San Diego markets; Summit operates facilities in Menifee, Chula Vista and Garden Grove and offers aerial work platforms, earthmoving equipment, water trucks and tools.

Sunstate Equipment Acquires Trench Shore Rentals (TSR)

Sunstate Equipment Co., a Sumitomo Corporation subsidiary, has acquired 100% of the assets and operations of Trench Shore Rentals (including Trebor Shoring Rentals), a trench safety equipment rental business headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. The deal expands Sunstate's trench-shoring footprint across Arizona, California and Texas and strengthens its trench safety capabilities in the U.S. Southwest.

Enterprise Holdings Acquires Discount Car and Truck Rentals
