Convergint has acquired Texas-based Beckwith, which comprises Beckwith Electronic Engineering Co. and Beckwith Electronic Systems, LLC, adding approximately 140 colleagues and strengthening Convergint's life safety, security, and communications capabilities in the South Central U.S. The acquisition expands Convergint's vertical reach across healthcare, education, commercial, government and hospitality markets while preserving Beckwith's existing client relationships and service teams.

The deal combines complementary product and controls portfolios — expanding Current's indoor/outdoor lighting, controls and connected lighting offerings and strengthening distribution and scale to capture LED conversion and connected-controls demand.

Hubbell Incorporated Acquires Systems Control from Comvest Partners for $1.1 Billion

Hubbell Incorporated agreed to acquire Systems Control (Northern Star Holdings, Inc.), a manufacturer of substation control and relay panels headquartered in Iron Mountain, Michigan, for $1.1 billion in cash. The transaction — previously announced Oct 2023 — closed in December 2023; Systems Control reported estimated 2024 sales of approximately $400 million and was a Comvest Partners portfolio company since 2018.

Dunaway Acquires BEC Engineers and Consultants
