CohnReznick has combined with Richmond-based tax firm PIASCIK & Associates effective July 1, 2025, bringing PIASCIK partners Steve Piascik and Ryan Losi into CohnReznick’s Private Client Services and International Tax practices. The deal expands CohnReznick’s mid-Atlantic footprint (adding a Richmond office) and bolsters its specialized tax capabilities as an add-on to the CohnReznick platform.

Citrin Cooperman Acquires Shepard Schwartz & Harris

Citrin Cooperman has acquired Chicago-based Shepard Schwartz & Harris, bringing ten partners and more than 50 staff into Citrin Cooperman as the firm's first Midwest office. The deal moves SSH's non-attest assets into Citrin Cooperman Advisors LLC and the attest assets into Citrin Cooperman & Company, LLP, expanding Citrin Cooperman's capabilities in real estate, construction, and manufacturing & distribution markets.

Fiserv Acquires Smith Consulting Group

Fiserv, a global provider of payments and financial technology, has acquired Smith Consulting Group (SCG), a U.S. banking and credit-union consulting firm that supports core conversions and implementations. The acquisition brings in-market consulting expertise to Fiserv to enhance its advisory and core transformation services for community banks and credit unions; financial terms were not disclosed.

Katz Sapper & Miller Acquires Shanholt Glassman Klein Kramer & Co.

Indianapolis-based Katz Sapper & Miller (KSM) has acquired New York City-based accounting firm Shanholt Glassman Klein Kramer & Co. (SGKK), adding 59 employees and six partners and increasing KSM's New York headcount to 87. The deal, which closed Thursday, expands KSM's New York footprint and makes that office its second-largest; financial terms were not disclosed.

AssuredPartners Acquires Smith-Reiss Agency, Inc.

AssuredPartners, Inc. has acquired Smith-Reiss Agency, Inc., a Canton, Ohio–based insurance agency. The five-person agency, led by President Eric Reiss, reports $1.2 million in annualized revenues and will remain with AssuredPartners as the firm expands its Ohio operations.

Citrin Cooperman Acquires S&G LLP
