Montauk Renewables, Inc. acquired NR3, LLC, a Greensboro, North Carolina-based environmental technology company that converts agricultural waste into renewable fuels and products. Montauk expects the acquisition to expand its agricultural waste-to-energy capabilities and deploy NR3's near-zero-emissions technology across planned swine waste-to-fuel cluster projects in North Carolina.

An unregulated affiliate of NorthWestern Energy also took a small minority stake; the investments will support development, construction and expansion of Dynamic's pipeline and operating assets, including the BC Organics facility in Wisconsin.

The add-on expands QE's operations & maintenance capabilities into utility-scale solar and battery energy storage (BESS), adding ~300 MW of O&M assets in Hawaii and supporting QE's growth to over 4 GW of assets under management.

Kinder Morgan Acquires North American Natural Resources

Kinder Morgan, Inc. has closed the $135 million acquisition of North American Natural Resources, Inc. and its sister companies North American Biofuels, LLC and North American-Central, LLC, acquiring seven landfill gas-to-power facilities in Michigan and Kentucky. Kinder Morgan will evaluate converting up to four sites to renewable natural gas (RNG) with approximately $175 million of capital spend, expanding its RNG generation capacity and diversifying its renewables portfolio.
