Veolia Environnement to Merge Vigie (former Suez) after Noteholder Consent

Veolia Environnement successfully completed a consent solicitation of holders of 14 series of notes issued by Vigie (the former Suez), clearing the way for the planned merger of Vigie into Veolia. The noteholder approvals and earlier tender offer for Suez shares advance Veolia's strategic consolidation to create a global leader in water, waste and energy management; final completion was scheduled for October 31, 2022.

Nijhuis Saur Industries (part of Saur Group) has completed the acquisition of Veolia's European Mobile Water Services division, which will be rebranded as NSI Mobile Water Solutions. The deal adds around 500 mobile units, seven depots and more than 80 staff across Europe, expanding NSI's mobile water and wastewater treatment capabilities and geographic footprint.

Veolia Acquires CDPQ's 30% Stake in Water Technologies and Solutions (WTS)

Veolia has agreed to purchase CDPQ’s remaining 30% stake in its subsidiary Water Technologies and Solutions (WTS) for $1.75 billion, giving Veolia full ownership. The move is intended to simplify the Group structure, unlock ~€90m of run-rate cost synergies by 2027, and accelerate value creation and growth in water technologies, particularly in priority markets such as the United States, semiconductors and pharmaceuticals.

Jernbro Acquires Veolia's Swedish Industrial Maintenance Business

Jernbro Industrial Services AB has agreed to acquire Veolia Environnement S.A.'s industrial maintenance business in Sweden, taking over operations in Kiruna, Avesta, Sandviken, Norrköping and Gothenburg effective 1 October 2019. The acquired business has over 300 employees and annual sales of about SEK 400 million; the deal increases Jernbro's turnover to SEK 1.4 billion and its headcount to roughly 950.

Veolia North America has completed the acquisition of U.S. Industrial Technologies (USIT), a Michigan-based provider of hazardous, non-hazardous and recyclable industrial waste management services. The deal adds USIT's main operations in Livonia, Michigan and an operation in Knoxville, Tennessee, bringing more than 70 employees into Veolia's Environmental Solutions and Services division and expanding its hazardous waste treatment capacity and U.S. market share.
