CareSource, a nonprofit managed care organization based in Dayton, Ohio, has acquired The Columbus Organization, a provider of care coordination, professional clinical staffing and quality improvement services for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and behavioral health needs. The Columbus Organization, previously owned by HealthEdge Investment Partners, serves over 100,000 individuals across 13 states and has more than 580 employees; it will operate as a standalone company within the CareSource family to expand CareSource’s capabilities serving complex populations.
