Caregiver Inc. Acquires Four I/DD Service Providers in Indiana and Ohio

Fort Worth-based Caregiver Inc. acquired four providers — Heartland Residential (Indiana), Opportunities To Succeed (Ohio), Concepts in Community Living (Ohio) and Hope Homes of Richland County (Ohio) — expanding its long-term services and supports footprint in Indiana and Ohio. The transactions add roughly 200 individuals served and about 300 employees to Caregiver’s network and extend its supported living, group home and adult day service capabilities.

CareSource, a nonprofit managed care organization based in Dayton, Ohio, has acquired The Columbus Organization, a provider of care coordination, professional clinical staffing and quality improvement services for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and behavioral health needs. The Columbus Organization, previously owned by HealthEdge Investment Partners, serves over 100,000 individuals across 13 states and has more than 580 employees; it will operate as a standalone company within the CareSource family to expand CareSource’s capabilities serving complex populations.

WindRose Health Investors Recapitalizes Caregiver Inc.

WindRose purchased its stake from DW Healthcare Partners and Council Capital (both will retain minority ownership) to provide capital for growth and geographic expansion across the United States; Caregiver serves more than 3,000 individuals across Texas, Ohio, Tennessee and Indiana.
