Planet DDS, a PE-backed provider of cloud-based dental software, has acquired Cloud 9 Software from Accel-KKR to strengthen its multi-specialty platform by adding Cloud 9’s orthodontic and pediatric practice management capabilities. The deal positions Planet DDS to offer a broader single-vendor solution for dental practices and accelerate Cloud 9’s cloud-first mission; financial terms were not disclosed.

The founders Rick and Lucy Fender remain involved while day-to-day operations will be led by promoted President Curtis Walker as Canopy positions Cloud 9 as a platform for growth; the deal closed January 31, 2022.

March Networks Acquires FOCUS Analytics Platform from DoIT Software

March Networks acquired the FOCUS Business Analytics Platform from DoIT Software Sp.z.o.o (Gliwice, Poland) on October 1, 2022, integrating the cloud-based analytics platform into its Searchlight product to accelerate its transition to cloud video and advanced data analytics. The deal brings the majority of DoIT Software staff into a newly established March Networks Poland development center focused on data analytics and AI, and March Networks plans to launch the integrated cloud Searchlight platform in Q1 2023.
