Odyssey Investment Partners Acquires NSi Industries

An affiliate of Odyssey Investment Partners has acquired NSi Industries from Blue Sea Capital LLC; financial terms were not disclosed. NSi, a Huntsville, North Carolina–headquartered supplier of electrical connectors, fittings, controls and wire-management products, will be led by its existing management team which invested in the transaction and will continue to operate the business under Odyssey's ownership.

NSi Industries Acquires Platinum Tools

NSi Industries, a portfolio company of Blue Sea Capital, has acquired Platinum Tools, a Newbury Park, California-based maker of low-voltage connectors, hand tools and cable preparation/test products. The deal expands NSi's product offering into the low-voltage market and establishes Platinum Tools as a West Coast distribution facility while founders Lee Sachs and David Johny remain significant shareholders and continue to lead the business.

NSI Industries Acquires Polaris Electrical Connectors

The deal expands NSI's electrical product portfolio and distribution reach, and Polaris — which employs roughly 190 people — will be integrated with NSI's distributor and channel partners to realize operational synergies.

NSi Industries, a Huntersville, North Carolina-based electrical-products company and portfolio company of Blue Sea Capital, has acquired SullStar Technologies, a Simi Valley designer of patented low-voltage connectors and crimp tools. The deal brings SullStar's patented product portfolio into NSi's Platinum Tools division to strengthen NSi's low-voltage product offering, consolidate R&D and sales, and support enforcement of SullStar's patents.

NSI Industries Acquires Metallics

NSI Industries, a provider of electrical product solutions based in Huntersville, North Carolina, acquired Metallics, a Bristol, Connecticut manufacturer and supplier of fasteners and related supplies, in a deal announced March 9, 2022. The acquisition adds Metallics' fastener product line and manufacturing capability to NSI's portfolio and supports further inroads into the electrical, HVAC, and network infrastructure markets; the seller is identified as the Mola family.
