YTH Sports’ founder Scott Hacker and his team will join Unrivaled Sports as the company integrates the brand and its nationwide event series into Unrivaled’s platform.

Youth Enrichment Brands (YEB), the Roark Capital-backed youth activities platform headquartered in San Rafael, California, has acquired School of Rock, the performance-based music education franchisor and operator. The deal brings School of Rock’s more than 500 schools and 180,000+ students into the YEB network as an add-on to expand YEB’s music education capabilities and accelerate growth; Sterling Partners exited as seller.

ZT Corporate Acquires Baseball Nation

Houston-based private equity firm ZT Corporate acquired Baseball Nation and will operate the business as ZT Baseball Nation, expanding ZT Baseball's facility operations into the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The combined business will operate 12 fields (including Aviator Ballpark in McKinney, Texas) and will exclusively host Perfect Game events at the North Texas facilities, with Baseball Nation owner James Belt transitioning to COO.

GTCR Acquires LiveBarn

Chicago private equity firm GTCR has agreed to acquire LiveBarn, a Montreal-based youth and amateur sports streaming service, in a deal valued at roughly $400 million. The acquisition advances GTCR’s strategy to build a platform in the fragmented youth sports ecosystem (Ascent Sports Group); Ares is providing part of the financing and existing investors including Susquehanna Growth Equity and Ares are reported participants in the sale process.
