Tempur Sealy Acquires Dreams, UK Specialty Bed Retailer

Tempur Sealy International has signed an agreement to acquire Dreams, the United Kingdom's leading specialist bed and mattress retailer, for approximately $475 million (less net debt and working capital adjustments). The acquisition, primarily from an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners / Sun European Partners, expands Tempur Sealy's direct-to-consumer footprint in the UK and is expected to be accretive to EPS while complementing the company’s existing UK operations.

Tempur Sealy Acquires Majority Stake in Sherwood Bedding

Tempur Sealy International agreed to acquire an approximately 80% stake in Sherwood Acquisition Holdings, LLC ("Sherwood Bedding") for about $40 million, financed with cash on hand and borrowing under existing credit facilities. The Ellman family will retain a 20% interest, and Sherwood Bedding will operate as a standalone business unit led by its current management to allow Tempur Sealy to enter the private-label/OEM bedding market and expand its product suite.
