CleanSpark, Inc. (Nasdaq: CLSK) has completed the strategic acquisition of GridFabric, LLC to integrate GridFabric's OpenADR-based demand-response software (Canvas and Plaid) into CleanSpark's mPulse distributed energy controls platform. The deal brings GridFabric's technology, recurring revenue and principals Ben Dupont and Matt Hale into CleanSpark to expand demand response capabilities and enable cross-selling to existing customers.

CleanSpark Acquires Cheyenne Bitcoin Mining Site in Wyoming

CleanSpark Inc. executed 75 MW of power contracts and completed the acquisition of a Bitcoin mining site in Cheyenne, Wyoming, with an initial 30 MW immersion-cooled data center expected to add over 2 EH/s to its hashrate in 2024. The company is also progressing to close a second Wyoming site that would add an additional 45 MW (≈3 EH/s) once brought online.

Brookfield Renewable Acquires Urban Grid for $650M

Brookfield Renewable acquired clean power developer Urban Grid and its pipeline of approximately 20,000 MW (13,000 MW solar and 7,000 MW storage) across 12 U.S. states for $650 million. The deal roughly triples Brookfield Renewable's U.S. development pipeline and Urban Grid will continue to operate under its brand as an independent power producer (IPP).

Brookfield Acquires National Grid Renewables; Rebrands as Geronimo Power

Brookfield Asset Management, together with its institutional partners including Brookfield Renewable Partners, completed the acquisition of National Grid Renewables from National Grid plc and will operate the business under the Geronimo Power brand. The Minneapolis-headquartered company develops and operates utility-scale solar, wind and energy storage (about 2 GW operating, 1 GW under construction and ~20 GW in development) and will continue scaling Brookfield’s U.S. renewables platform.
