Brookfield Acquires National Grid Renewables; Rebrands as Geronimo Power

Brookfield Asset Management, together with its institutional partners including Brookfield Renewable Partners, completed the acquisition of National Grid Renewables from National Grid plc and will operate the business under the Geronimo Power brand. The Minneapolis-headquartered company develops and operates utility-scale solar, wind and energy storage (about 2 GW operating, 1 GW under construction and ~20 GW in development) and will continue scaling Brookfield’s U.S. renewables platform.

Scout will continue to operate under its brand as a utility-scale renewable energy developer-owner-operator headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, with ~1,200 MW of operating wind assets and a pipeline of wind, solar and storage projects across the United States.

Enbridge Acquires Tri Global Energy
