Dallas-based private equity firm Sky Island Capital made a majority investment in SkyMark Refuelers, LLC and related company KC Tank, LLC, partnering with the companies' founders to support growth. SkyMark, headquartered in Kansas City, Kansas with production in Findlay, Ohio, is a manufacturer of custom work trucks and vacuum tanks serving aviation refueling, liquid waste removal, rail, and other industrial end markets.

SkyMark Refuelers, a Sky Island Capital portfolio company, has acquired Becker and Associates, Inc., a nearly 60-year supplier of aviation and ground fueling equipment based in East Dundee, Illinois. The acquisition is an add-on to SkyMark’s parts and aftermarket capabilities to expand its product offering across aviation, natural gas, oil and chemical processing end markets.

ATL Partners Acquires SkyMark and Rampmaster to Create Specialty Vehicle Equipment Platform

A&M Capital Strategic Investments completed a minority investment alongside ATL; both management teams will retain leadership roles and meaningful equity stakes in the combined company. Financial terms were not disclosed.
