AutoNation agreed to acquire RepairSmith, a Los Angeles-based full-service mobile automotive repair and maintenance provider, for $190 million to expand its after-sales and mobile-service capabilities. The deal is intended to deepen customer retention, broaden AutoNation's service channels (including at-home and on-site fleet service), and was expected to close in Q1 2023 subject to customary conditions.

Repairify, a portfolio company of Kinderhook Industries, has acquired AutoMobile Technologies (AMT), a provider of enterprise-grade used vehicle reconditioning and work-order management software. The add-on deal — Repairify's fourteenth — expands Repairify's reconditioning software and technician network (AMT serves roughly 8,000 technicians and customers that handle ~40,000 vehicles per day); financial terms were not disclosed.

Cox Automotive Acquires Corcoran's Mobile Services

Group 1 Automotive, a Houston-based Fortune 300 automotive retailer, has acquired RRR Automotive Group, expanding its U.S. footprint in the greater Baltimore/Washington, D.C. market. The deal includes Toyota, Honda, Hyundai and Kia new-vehicle dealerships, a Toyota certified pre-owned center and three collision centers (expected to generate over $500 million in annual revenues).
